True Talker.
Hands down the best call I've used.
The M.A.D Buck Growl isn't bad for soft grunting though. I called in a 1x2 this last friday morning, just making soft grunts with the M.A.D. call.

I had a doe come in right before I planned to climb down Thanksgiving evening. Deciding I didn't want to climb down right in front of her, I thought I would see how the growl affected her.
I grunted with it once and she started to take off. Let out a growl like Drury does in the video, followed by a soft grunt right after and she stopped cold. Turned back in my direction and stood there. Let out another growl followed by two grunts and she started doing that stiff legged walk right towards my tree.
By now I was laughing and she heard me, but I mean... A doe!? I thought this call was supposed to work on bucks?

Actually, thinking about it now, the morning I killed my buck, I had used the growl a few minutes before the two does came through my stand.
On their trail was the 1x2 I called in, followed by the 4x2 I shot.
Makes me wonder now...

RE: i need to choose a call
I have had good luck with the True Talker.
I had a 1.5 yr old 9 pointer walk by me at 20 yards a couple weeks ago. He wasn't what I was looking for so I passed on him. An hour later I was getting bored and pulled out the True Talker. Put my fingers on the reed to give it the sound of a medium sized buck and gave 2 grunts. The little 9 had bedded up about 100 yds away. He got up, started rubbing on a tree and walked directly under my stand grunting quietly the whole way.
A week later I was in an unfamiliar stand in a different part of the state. I had heard some noise behind me earlier but it had been an hour or so. I accidently made a noise in the stand and then heard a deer busting out of it's bed and running away. I had spooked it. I grabbed the True Talker and made a higher pitched call to simulate a doe call. The deer came right back to me and that 10 pointer is now in the freezer.
