Well, after shooting him on October 27th, I finally found him while gun hunting. Not something I am too proud of, but it is my first buck with a bow. I hit him behind the 4th rib, broad side but he didn't bleed. Found him 200 yards from stand. 6 point with little brows. Shot in Delta Co. Michigan.

By the way, this is the buck that I shot while gun hunting... Not with a bow though... [:@]

I'm actually wondering why he was unfound since he was only 200 yards from your stand. How long did you look? Was there a blood trail? Did he lay in the direction he went? You have closer but I wouldn't claim him as my first. You didn't really recover him.

I'm some what surprised there is enough of a deer left one month later to tell where you hit. Incidently, he did bleed, you just couldn't follow it.[&:] That doesn't look like the skull cap of a month dead deer. Are you sure it's the one you killed?
