Second of the Season
After a pretty quick start, with my first deer of the year killed in the first week of the season, it's been a long 2 months and a lot ofhours in the woods before taking my second bow kill of the season. I took this button buck Tuesday afternoon at 12 yards broadside. Heavy winds of 20-25 mph had me doubting my chances, but there was a heavy front moving in and the deer were moving all over the place trying to get their bellies full before the storm hit. Thinking it was a doe, I took the shot. Had I known it was a button, I'd have let it walk. Oh well, meat in the freezer and he'll make some good summer sausage.
Back out tomorrow to try for one of 3 pretty good size bucks that I've seen working this area.
I'm not sure the below link will work, but I'll give it a try.
