Default NY 8 Pt

Ok for those of you that read the Any Vacation Left? post heres the outcome. I finally got the cord for the camera to hook to the computer. Anyways, I saw the bucks Wednesday night and hunted Thursday morning. I grunted in a basket 8 and passed him at 54 yards. He came in til he could see that there wasnt a deer making the grunt. I took Friday off and hunted the same set. Now, I decided that I had to get as high in the tree as possible in the spot that I am in with a hill behind me that the deer sometimes come down where they are almost eye level for a bit. So I'm 30-35 feet in the air in a Summit Viper Classic. The wind is whipping and the creek next to me is flowing twice what it normally does. The leaves are soaked and I cant hear all that much around me. Havent seen anything and about 8:10 am I look over my shoulder and this buck is at about 15 yards and pretty much under me. Now I have to stand and get my bow off the hook without him noticing. Thank god for being that high. He gives me about an 18 yard shot and I thought I hit him a hair back. He was actually quartering more that I had thought. So the arrow slips through him and he runs past me and stops at about 35 yards. I can see where the arrow entered and I paniced. I grabbed another arrow out of the quiver and shot him again. This time he takes off running. I hear him crash and thats it. The blood trail was unbelievable. Ill post three pics following. Again sorry for the delay on the pics. The deer was taken 11/17, the last day of Bow Season.

Congrats on a fine buck and setting in tough conditions to get him.
However at 35ft up I would get altitude sickness.
