Being in south Texas, I'd have to say anywhere up north. We have huge numbers and large racks down here but when it comes to meals per package, those huge bucks and doe we see on TV make me want to become a winter yankee. Oh, to drag one of those big rascals out of the woods!

I like my state. You can hunt all year (except for blacktail deer).
Axis deer you can hunt all year and some places don't even have limits. Some places, you can hunt every day of the year. Mouflon sheep, feral sheep, feral goats, wild boar, and there are many species of upland game to hunt in the winter. This state is great! Did I mention Turkey? Lots of bowhunting opportunities as well. No stupid rules. Liberal and in some areas non-existing bag limits. Always somewhere to hunt.
And all this in the middle of an ocean.
