Got my second of the year!

So here's the story. I was hunting with my dad, his buddy, and MO_Bow, and me and Matt went out at around 1pm to scout for some sign. We found a ridge that had 3 or scrapes on it and decided to hunt that spot. That evening i set up on one side of the ridge and Matt covered the top where the scrapes were. I climbed up in a big tree cuz it was windy but blowing right in my face. I got setup and hoisted my bow up and sat down. No longer than five minutes later i see movement in front of me. It was a huge doe. I told myself earlier that i was buck hunting, but if i had a shot i knew i couldnt mess up I would have to take it. Well, she stayed out of range but was angling to my right side. When she got to my immediate right she was at 18 yards and i knew i couldnt pass it up. I hunt public land and i didnt know if i would have another deer in range the whole season so i drew back after she went behind a tree and i let her have it. The arrow hit high but she was quarting slighty away so i knew it would be ok. I listened and heard her crash. I was pumped. I waited a little bit, then headed up the hill to get Matt. He said"You get one already?" I told him I shot a big doe and he was kinda hoping it was gonna be a buck but I was happy. He got down and helped me gutit. Then we hunted for a couple more hours. Then we drug it out. It was hell, and I appreciate Matt being there for me, cuz she was a heavy one, and we had to drag her 1/4 mile through rolling ridges. Here she is. By the way this is from October 24th. I couldnt get my pics working and i didnt want to tell my story til i had proof.

Congratulations! 1/4 Mile with 2 of you! What are you whining about that's nothing, boy you and Mo_bow must be bigger wimps than I thought. Come to the big woods of PA and hunt and kill something, then talk to me about long drags. You young pups need to get some meat on yer bones. JK
Congratulations again, You guys can't be that bad, you do shoot a Bowtech.

Hardwoods, while I've never been to PA and I'm not familar with the terrain, I think you under estimated Missouri's terrain. Plus it was pitch black and so thick you couldnt even walk through it. Then we'd get down one ridge and there would be a bluff as the next so we had to go out of our way to get around it. It wasn't fun, but some things are just worth it.

MOmightymite, I've been through a little of MO, Just some of the southern part near springfield. Trust me where you say ridge we say ravine. I found MO somewhat similar to PA. Mo is just a little flatter than PA, trust me PA has some nasty stuff too. I was just bustin yer chops. Congratulations on the harvest again.
