A couple weeks ago, my brother Brady,went out bowhunting, for the first time this season. And just like last year, he ended up arrowing a buck, and tagging out on the firstevening huntof the year. I have a few game camera'sin the area, and after checking them over the weekend, found 4 game cam pics of the deer he harvested. I've never seen him quite so excited before. His biggest archery buck, with 11pts, gross score 148 and change.

First time out this year? How is that fair? I guess some people have all the luck, and yes, it is luck to get one like that in one time out. One heck of a buck for sure! Congrats to him.

That buck looks bigger in the harvest photo then it does on the game cam. It's usually the other way around Congrats to your brother!

Is that a mock scrape set up in the photos? I think I see a scent wick hanging there.

It's a real scrape. Last year I put the scent wick there, and forgot to take it down. And 12 months later it's still there....

Last year he took a 135ish 10pt. He said he could hardly get his bow pulled up the stand before the buck gave him a 20 yard broadside shot. I'm glad he is fortunate to have that kind of luck.
