Well, after going to Kansas and tagging a good buck last week, my wife called me and she also arrowed a nice fat doe at home. And now this is gun season here in Illinois this weekend: well first a little background info. Remember last year when I missed the same buck on 4 consecutive shots (3 before he even moved!) with my muzzleloader, Par for the course for me, I always miss with a gun. Anyway , yesterday I heart shot a coyote, then a couple hours later, heart shot a doe, and then today, I smoked this big boy at about 120 yards on a dead run, I could NOT believe it. He's a main frame 9 with split brow tines on both sides. He's trying to do the 2 main beam thing on his right side as well. Pretty sweeeeet. So now I have 2 bucks at the taxidermist, and my wife has one, and we still each have a buck tag left and almost a month and half of season left.

It could get better if you let me come over and hunt with you. Congrats sounds like a dream season. Good luck with the remaining tag.
