RE: Which bowtech- Tribute or Allegiance??
Yeah, but think of all the other advantages of living in N.Z.... Absolutely beautiful country, and how 'bout that roar! :)
Yes, sometimes you can order a "heavy" bow which will bottom out more like 74 or so, as opposed to the normal 70 (for a 70-lb. bow). The birth certificate would indeed read faster, but only as a result of the extra pounds thrown into the mix. As far as the smoothness difference, you can definitely tell it but since I own boththe Tribute and the Allegiance,I was trying to magnify the differences between the two. By installing the smooth mods on the Trib and the fast ones on the Ally, I'm able to personally notice a difference in draw cycles and speed between the two. I've hunted this whole season pretty much with the Allegiance, as the temps have stayed above freezing. My thoughts on best utlizing the Trib is to start taking it as the temperatures drop and my muscles are stiffer on stand without being warmed up. Obviously, that whole concept could be accomplished by simply swapping out mods if you only owned one bow. Like I said, I've come to the conclusion I won't order both these bows this year because theyr'e so similar -- and I believe the Allegiance has some positives over the Trib in weight savings and speed. I do like the Trib's shorter a-to-a for treestand hunting, however... though that's only come into play once this year with a big doe which ran under me and off to the side. If I'd been in a fixed-position as opposed to a climber with sides on it that day, it wouldn't have mattered then either. |
RE: Which bowtech- Tribute or Allegiance??
I shot them both; I chose the Tribute stricktly because it was their newest, latest, greatest bow. Like Greg said, blindfolded I don't know if you could tell the difference. Both are awesome bows and Bowtech puts out a 1st class bow. I also like the fact that they are a Christian company and they also give honor to our troops.

RE: Which bowtech- Tribute or Allegiance??
Thanks for you advice guys. And yes Greg hunting Red stags in the roar is an outrageous experience.
I have placed an order for a "heavy" 70 lb allegiance. As much as anything coz a 17 yr old N.Z just won the Commonwealth champs in India, using, you guessed it an allegiance. And coz I am 6'2", the longera2a will probably feel "right". Now all I have figure out is what sight to buy............................. |
