kshunterI didn't post the exact WHERE because yep, people will think they can get a tag, drive to KS and shoot a monster.
it don't happen like that
I've hunted properties Bill Jordan would pay huge money to hunt for 5 different years in KS now ....... and I've seenone buck that would go B&C
Only one
I've seen some dandies driving around, but onlythatoneB&C size deer
This post isn't designed to increase the non-resident hunting numbers in KS, only to show that wow, that was a huge buck. I'd hazard to say that MI hunter never saw a bigger one and likely hunted long and hard to earn this one.

buster - No problem man. I didn't take it in a bad way. Nothing wrong with posting those pics.
I do agree with you through, Kansas does produce some really big bucks every year, and that those "truely" big monsters are extremely tough to find... Unlike what T.V. shows. It takes lots ofhunts/hours to come across bucks of B&C caliber, even in the bests ofhunting spots. I talk witha good amountof NR hunters every year, who hunt KS public land, only to go home disappointed, because it wasn't what they expected.

I'm guessing the buck was fighter and got a tine there
my Dad's big bodied buck from 2 years ago, and he was pushing 300 pounds with a 150" 8 point heavy mainframe, was a brute. His right ear was torn almost 1/2 off, he had gouges in this pedicles and his body was riddled with bruises and gouges, his neck especially. Unreal how beat up that buck was !
