Default can deer see orange?

orange is required during rifle season, i was wondering, can deer see orange better than just regular camo?,
i was thinking of getting that blaze camo orange because it has little black branches colored into it, and that may brake you up better

They cannotdistinguish orange, but they do see the blob not broken up like most other things in nature.
Check your regs, blaze orange must be solid in many places (it is here).

I dunno if they can see it or not. I've asked every one of them that I've shot what colors they can see, and wouldn't you know it, I just can't get a straight answer out of them....[8D]

If you do a search on this forum there are some good research articles from some University scholars. The short answer is the orange just appears gray to them. I'd use an orange camo pattern if its legal.

if this pic is true, than i dont get why morepeople dont ware orange all the timewith that tree patter in it, its camo to the deer and a heck of a lot safer, i think im going to wear a vest like that bow hunting, even tho its not required to ware orange than.

NYS has no mandatory blaze orange law - therefore the camo style is legal and a great idea.

NYS hunters also have a higher use rate of BO then many states where mandatory.
