Here in Arkansas where I hunt there are only two weekends of shot gun only firearms season. sunday was the second week end. Any body have any tips on hunting these deer. before the second two days I was seeing pretty good rut activity but the gun hunters took several huge deer out of this area. thanks hill

I am going to hunt during Gun Season with my bow (I am in NYS). My game plan has changed from hunting the common areas where I always see deer; to hunting the most remote hardest to reach parts of the property I hunt on. Followed by hunting the all the places that I passed up when there were no gun hunters in the woods. Small patches of hard woods they almost look like islands, the thick bushy crap, swamps, remember they still have to eat and drink.
