Good you found her, sad you couldnt utiliz her. Just consider it a lesson learned. I bet you will not jump another.

I'm confused. Your first post said you trailed her 150 yds, jumped her up and saw 6" of arrow sticking out, and then you find the arrow 20 yds from where you shot her. How did that happen?

Re-read the post. The first time I jumped her was shortly after I picked up the blood trail. She was about 20-30 yards away where I jumped her. What is this people court? Do you guys just insist on tearing people apart here? Why the heck would I just make this up over a freakin doe? It's dissapointing enough as it is, so why do you insist on criticizing?

My bad. I didn't mean to be critical. It just didn't make sense to me about you seeing the arrow in her and then finding it so close. I didn't realise she bedded that close to your stand.

sphinx:

I don't see or hear anyone here being overly critical of you. What you did was take an iffy shot at a deer and then take her the trail too soon.....and then come onto an internet hunting board and admit to such. I don't think the group was hard on you, at all.

I did the same thing, earlier this year......although imminent rain made my search decision for me (although I still waited 3 hours).

Just understand that the people in this forum love animals more than most can imagine.

Jeff that wasn't aimed at everyone just one person. I've been on this forum now for about a month and 4 or 5 times people have been critical of things I've said. It just gets old! I'm trying to expand my mind here with knowledge and tips from more experienced hunters, and lots of people would rather criticize. If there's nothing good to be said then just don't say anythng at all! I'm sure your parents probably taught you that as well!
