I quit going there about a year ago. Too many know it all snobs. I have been bow hunting for around 25 years, and I love how some new guys there like to get sanctimonious and talk down on others.I had a guy telling me I had no clue how to bow hunt, and he was in his first season. Oh yea, but he had been shooting bows for about two year prior, spending every day at the bow shop. I guess that trumps my years of seeing the industry develope.

I went to that forum a time or two while I was killing time at work, but it just seems like there aren't as many knowledgeable hunters over there. Instead, they seem to draw the 3d/competitive archery crowd. I guess that's why they're "archery talk" and we're aptly-named "huntingnet."

Burnie - I agree - seems like the archery shop crowd gathers over there. Lots of big talk, endlessfountains of knowledge, empty freezers and tag soup.

I am on Archery Talk as well (I use the same "ButchA" on there and countless other forums). I wondered what happend to their server... [:-]

My favorite place of all (no I'm not sucking up) is HNI. I have been on here longer an any other sites and this is by far the best site with a wide variety of topics to cover all the bases.

i too am a message board pimp. but this is the only one i visit daily. we all know im here WAY to much....right TEAM?? ahaha my team can tell you my daily life just as well as i could! but before the teams i was still here ALOT. the other boards arent nearly as well kept and weeded out. one board of which i wont mention has more cry babies and whiners then a kindergarden class full of girls! the rest are made up of alot of snobs..i shoot a 2000$ bow..your reflex wont even hit a deer let alone kill it! or...i fish with a 800$ fly rod, 300$ line and 500$ reel. theres no way youll catch trout with a 40$ rod and reel and 15$ hipboots! i could go on for days...ive meet some great guys along the way..but this is where i call home for my message board life.

i DO however like Archery Talks gear review section...ours is OK..sometimes..but i like theirs better.....HINT HINT justin!!

and i DO like bowsite.coms interactive blood trails..pretty neat to see diffrent trails and such...

but i love this place and alot of the guys here are like brothers and uncles to me..

Rumortalk is all about ranting and brand bashing in MY opinion and yes,i go there looking for any of the latest and greatest archery gadgets. It just seems like almost every thread ends up with people taking sides and insulting or fighting over anything at all.
