Hello, I have been of line fro quite some time, anyway I need some help from the PA hunters. This is my second season hunting and I have no clue as to when the rut starts and ends. I know it is not set in stone, but please help. Thanks and hunt safely.

Well, first, our bow season is over, ended yesterday so there will be no deer hunting until rifle season, the Monday after Thanksgiving.
The rut, like most of the northern hemisphere is roughly the 15th of Nov give or take. It's pretty much happening right now more or less in most areas. The "peak" will be soon so we as PA'ians missed it. From Halloween on, it's a great time to be in a treestand.

i notice i have certain area that kick in early like last week of sept and then the first two weeks of nov are just unreal but other areas that dont kick in until last week of bow season on. not sure why this is exactly but after a few years you start to learn what areas get hot at what times.
of the6 bucks ive shot inPA that were what id consider trophy deer(110-120") i shot 5 of them were killed on oct30 or 31st.
two nights ago i saw alot of bucks spotlighting and actually saw a big buck mating with a doe 1st time i ever saw this myself.
