I found a fresh ground scrape 15 yrds from one of my stands about 3ft round and NO dry dirt so it was deffinatly with in an hour of my arrival because it was in the sun, my luck I spooked him going in It is so thick in there it's next to imposable to get in there with out making noise, so I sprayed the bush next to it with buck urin and poured some on the scrape then grunted periodicly hoping he'd come back but no such luck I just hope by putting buck lure on the scrape it doesnt spook him out of there , the only reason I say that is I hit a different spot today becasue the wind wasnt in my favor for that spot but I hadn't been to thit spot in a week or so and used a drag rag when I went in and there last week and there was fresh scrapes and droppings everywhere but when I went in today I didnt see NATA and absolutly NO sign of any deer having been there sice I was there last??? so unless someone went in there with out using scent control the only thing I can think of is the drag rag scent I used spooked them because I have seen a minimum of 4 everytime I have been there and one day I saw 9 by 8:45 am and shot one so I am kinda puzzled by that,
any ideas anyone, I think from here on in I will stick to a No Scent approach.
Thanks

Bucks may make a scrape and never return to it. SEVERAL bucks may work the same scrape (I watched 4 different bucks work the same scrape in one sitting, last year). They may also ONLY work the scrapes at night.
Unless you're seeing a buck on a particular scrape...."MY" opinion is ....I wouldn't bet my rut on one scrape.
