Yesterday was the final day of early archery season in Pa.Befor the season started my hunting buddy and I agreed 8 point or better only this year, after shooting several 6's and 7's in years past. Well yesterday morning at 8:20 a nice 6 point came along the field edge checking scrapes. Shortly after first sight of him he was in my 20yrd lane, I drew on him and whispered game over, and let down. He continued past me along the field edge. Thirty yrds. past me he entered the woods after the TRUE TALKER spoke. He then came to 12 yds. I drew, again game over, and let down. Then he circled aroud in front of me and gave me yet another shot oportunity at 25 yrds. Last year this buck would have meet his maker at the first chance he gave me, I'm still kind of surprised at myself for letting him walk, but next year he will be a nice one and he better not make the same mistake he made yesterday. I hope he makes it to next year, and doesn't fall victum to another hunter or vehicle.

Well, the let'rm grow threads on here early in the year are changing my thinking, I also seen 2 shooter bucks while scouting in the summer. Also 1 buck tag in Pa. helps make the decision not to shoot a dink. But a 5 pointer or better is legal.
