My little girl came out to see my first bow buck of the year too.
I know how you must feel. They sure are proud of their Daddys, aren't they?

Hey, did you check to see exactly what was cut up in the neck?
It sounds to me like a carotid artery hit. Did it spray blood sideways away from the trail the way I hear arteries do?

It had to be a main artery, but it did not spray. It just gushed out. The 125 grain muzzy left a huge hole. I have witnessed a few occasions when myself or a friend has had a "less than perfect" hit and the Muzzy did the job to bring the animal down. I may switch arrows or bows in the future, but I will never shoot another broadhead.

Good Job! Still working on my first buck with the bow. Maybe that will end toinght. Just got about 6 inches of snow up in Packerland so we'll see.
