Default FINALLY Arrowed one!

After a hunting trip to Shade River State Forest, Ohio which I seen one buck in the 150-160 range, 6 pt,spike,3 does and 9 turkey I came home and got the boys off to school Monday morning and went to still hunt and leave the climber at home. I went to where I like to tree stand hunt and stood at the base of the big white oak. About an hour and a half into my hunt I heard what I believed was a faint buck grunt. I gave a few grunts in return and about 30 minutes later this buck appeared from the brush and was trailing a doe 12 yards below me on the upper edge of a hog back. He looked up at me twice and stared right through me with out winding me. I drew back and held just behind the shoulder and let my PSE Boss 1 Impact sling an Easton xx75 tipped with a 100 grain Thunderhead through his vitals. WACK was the sound as the arrow passed through. I watched him run approx. 125 yards and heard him crash. He ran back towards the house and it was all level and down hill draggin from there. I was willing to take a doe, lord knows theres a ton of them around here..He was an 8 pt with a 14.5" spread, not big but good looking little rack.....Pics coming soon....Later Boss

Happiness is a large gut pile!

Sounds like you're hunting out here at my farm. Gotta love it when you only have to drag them a few yards to the house! Congratulations.

Congrats! Taking that buck from the ground
had to be a thrill. I prefer those short
drags myself.
