Another one down

But I didn't shoot it this time.
My dad rattled in this nice 2 1/2 year old this morning and let him have it. Made my day a little bit more exciting than sitting on stand not seeing any deer.
All told this year I've got two does, a buck, and a coyote and the old man has a bull moose and now a decent buck. Not too shabby for a couple suburbanites.

LOL
I give my dad a hard time every year about that bow and he refuses to get a new one. According to him it works just fine, and I guess it does! It's abouta 20 year old Golden Eagle of of some sort. He's shooting XX75 2317's with 5" vanes and 125 grain Thunderheads. When he can manage to connect, it usually puts them down in a hurry.

I give my old man a hard time about shooting his old recurve still. I have tried to get him to at least just go look at compounds, but he refuses.
And when that XX75 and 125 grain 2 blade Satelited broadhead hits that deer they don't usually go to far. He has actually killed a small 6 pointer at 52 yards6 years ago with this setup. Deer ran 40 yards before rolling back down the hill to him. Needless to say I was very impressed by that shot.
