climber question

I got a new API climber...My problem is the stir ups barely fit over my hunting boots. As I am climbing they want to slip of my boots. Does anyone have any ideas? Are there after market products out there?

Use a short bungee cord. Hook one end of it on each stirup and then wrap it around the back heel of your boot (on the back of your ankle). That should help keep them on your feet.

I used to try to get my toes under the strap when mine was new. I spent so much time sweating and cussing that I was ready to try anything. Turned out, I didn't need to use them.
I don't ever use the strap on mine anymore. I just point my toes under the support brackets (the sides that the chain goes into). I never have to worry about it. It is really easy. I'm surprised they even put a strap on it after seeing how much easier it is to do it this way. (ps - I have the API Grand Slam Magnum)
