Default All nighter

Well it is currently 2:47 am and I have been up late finishing a term paper so I would be able to hunt tomorrow morning. Now I find myself sitting here once again looking and reading at posts from the past. The last time I was out was the best day of hunting I have ever had even though I did not let an arrow fly. The later it gets tonight the more pumped I am getting to climb into my stand! haha The funny thing about tonight is, I remember setting my alarm clock for 4:45 am at 9!! I tried to go to sleep a little bit ago but I then found myself putting a drury outdoors dvd in. haha All that did was make me more awake then craving more pictures and videos of some hunts! So now I find my self just passing the time before I get to go start my truck up and start well.... carry on with my day! Is anyone esle like this or is it just me? I would like to think some day I will outgrow this feeling but I feel like a little kid on christmas waiting to open his gift! Well guys I think I am going to do some sociology hmwrk to pass some more time and to free up more time later this week so I can spend it in the woods.

GO BUCKEYES! ( just had to get that in, hopefully no wolverines read this post! But if your a hunter then I wouldn't mind! )

I know how you feel. I get that way with deer season and my golf trips to myrtle beach. I guess when that feeling isn't there, it won't be as fun. Good luck hunting.

Sir....

If I EVER lose that feeling.....I'll quit hunting. I've said that all along.

I'm 42 yrs old......and I SO look forward to days when I know I have the entire day to hunt/fish/etc....

I get JUST as excited about spending time with my wife, though. it's an awesome balance. I start getting things ready.....making sure everythings in proper working order.......check the weather.......wind direction.......climber.........and that's a LOT of the fun of it.

No sir.....you are NOT alone. Come on in....the water's fine!

No you are not alone. I love the anticipation. Hunting season is closed in Tx right now. Bow ended this past Sunday and General opens this coming Saturday. I can't wait for Sat AM. My wife and daughter are going out of town this weekend so I can stay in thw woods from dawn to dusk if I choose with no guilt. we are suoopsed to have light rain all weekend and cool temps. PERFECT, JUST PERFECT! BTW, I will be bowhunting. The guns will be lonely this year.

This year, even though my alarm is set for 4:30am, I'm waking up at 3:30am and can't sleep andmore - that's after going to bed around 11:00pm!

I have mine set at 4:00am, legal time around here is 6:00am depending.... I have a 45 minute drive so if I leave the house by 4:20, I'm good to go! I can go to bed early but never fall asleep until late, always checking the weather to see which tree I'm gonna hunt out of!

I pulled an all nighter the one time at Penn state, the night before opening day archery. It ended up being one of the best days of hunting....I just missed a doe, hit a branch shooting at a smaller buck and ended up killing an 8 point (my biggest at the time)

You are not alone - feeling the same way these days. There is, however, only one thing that is going to keep me out of the woods the afternoon of November 18, and that's watching Michigan beat Ohio State.
