I am leaving for Illinois this Friday. I will be hunting Nov 5th-10th with Hadley Creek Outfitters in Pike County. I will give an update/review of the trip when I get back. There are 4 of us going so I should be able to give a pretty accurate review of the accomadations and guides and deer quality. It mgiht help someone ontheir decision to spend the money or not.
Anyone in the area seeing the rut kick in yet. Where I hunt in NY the bucks are chasing pretty good right now....

I was out last night in scott county. Its thecounty just east of pike across the Illinois river. I saw a nice 130 class 8 pointer doggin the crap out of a doe. I mean he was chasin her hard. While I was rattlin and gruntin trying to get him to come into range, a nice 140 class nine point comes in from behind me at 25 yards. Unfortanately I never got into position to take a shot. But to answer your question the bucks are starting to chase pretty heavily. I also have a farm in Adams county that I hunt thats about 5 miles from Hadly Creek. Its definately a good area to hunt. Good luck.
