RE: Finger or Knuckle?

So much for options. I don't use either. IMO the wrist strap/trigger finger releases that most guys use are the worst kind. Mainly the reason they are so popular is because it's an easy transition from the tigger on a gun to the trigger on a release. That and price.

When I did shoot this type I didn't shoot at the finger tip or the first knuckle, but used the second knucle of my middle finger. It's not as sensitive as the index finger so has less of a tendency to lead to punching (target panic).

Now, that being said, I use a Cascade Model 8, thumb/relax release with a rope that basically takes the place of a string loop.

I'm thinking of trying a thumb release. I'm kind of nervous of not liking it and they aren't cheap.

I use my finger tip! Just feels right to me.

I use my thumb...Carter Hunter. Never did like the feel I got with the finger triggered releases.

I use my finger just as I would squeeze off a round with one of my guns.
