autopsy report

I shot a good size doe the other day and after i gutted her i usualy examine theinsides to seeexactly how they die .this one was a nice clean double lung that went down fast. The strange part was i decided to open the stomach to see what she ate and it was solid acorns .There was no green leaves what so ever .After seeing that i'm going to hunt a nice group of white oaks that i know of. Has anybody else observed thisand do you examine the organs to see what killed it or am i the only one

I always poke around too and see what kind of wounds were made and stuff. I try my hardest not to mess with the stomach though. I always check and see what the fish I catch are eating though.

I can't say that i've ever checked to see about the diet; I do look to see where I hit and all...and some of the guys I hunt with usually check the stomach; so I'll get the info from them if anything.
