Sounds like each deer had 4 1/2 points.

i saw an 9 point an 8 and a non typ 7, 24 points for me in one day.

I lost count of points today... lol!

I actually don't count them if I am planning on shooting at them, I'd rather be surprised when I get there! If they are grazin or struttin' in a field and I can see that far, I'll count 'em up.

Sounds like to much counting and not enough shooting.

I think my friends think I'm nuts when we talk points. I'm originally from California, and I was raised to count only what's on the main beam of ONE side, not both sides, and not brow tines. So, the first year I hunted here, a guy told me he bagged a 6 pointer and a few minutes later an 8 pointer walked by. WOW! I thought. There are some big deer here. I looked in the bed of his truck and see a forkey. HUH? I thought he said 6 points. I scratch my head and kinda look at him funny. I look back at the deer....and the wheels slowly start to turn....OHhhhhhh...I got it! You all count ALL of the points INCLUDING brow tines!

To this day, when I see a deer I still go by one side, no brow tines.

The other day, Buddy Bill and I saw a deer running across a field. "Did you see that?" He asked.
"Yeah, it looked like a 3 or 4 pointer."
"Then, you didn't see the same deer I saw."
"Oh, sorry, I forgot you guys count ALL the tines...I mean an 8 or 10 pointer."
lol....he thought I was nuts....still does.

Last thursday (going hunting tonight hoping for the same thursday blessing) I hadtwo 10s, one 8 and one 6 come in together. That 34 points of rack. Gave me some buck fever for sure

I wish I had a video camera set up to film them.
