Is this a Shooter?
 

I'm thinking he's 4 1/2.. But he could be 3 1/2. But his body looks older. Any takers?

Every hunter is different. For some he is and for others he is not. It also depends on where you are hunting. If I'm in Ill., Iowa, or maybe Canada I would probably say no. I hunt in La., so I wouldn't hesitate. I would take him and be damn proud of it. Oh what the hell, I'd probably shoot him regardless of where I was. Yes, he is a shooter.

Thats a nice mature buck. Those g2's look to be 10 - 12 inches long. I would have to shoot.

Well, if I had to guess, judging by antler mass and gut sag, I'd say he's a 4 1/2 year old.

The real question is...Is he a shooter to you? In my book, that arrow would be long gone. He's a nice one and i'd be willing to bet his rack is a little bigger than his body size depicts. Looks like a Canadian buck.
