More Primitive?

I rarely bow hunt, but have a question. Do any of you use or know of anyone that has used an indian type arrow head to hunt, that has taken a deer with an indian arrowhead either on a longbow or compound bow?

RE: More Primitive?

Timber, I hunt with wooden bows of my own crafting, but use manufactured, doweled arrow shafts and commercial steel points...circa 1920's and 1930's archery equipment. Half a dozen deer and quite a bit of small game have fallen to my bows. I would eventually like to hunt with stone points on handmade shafts as well, but have to set aside time from bowmaking to learn the art of flintknapping first. :)

There is an interesting and very candid discussion on the use of stone points going on right now over on the stickbow.com site. Might want to give it a look.
