RE: WIll he come back???
Hey now, I realize us veteran posters see this over and over again, but if you check things out, you'll see there are only 9 posts for this user, he is a newbie, cut him some slack. I'm also guessing he is fairly young and new hunter, isn't the purpose of this site to learn from other's experiences and share our own experiences for the enjoyment and education of others?
I honestly got a kick out of the thread Washington did about all the "typical" questions, but as even he stated, they WILL be asked again, and it will be a never ending cycle... have you noticed how many members are on this site, upwards of 96,000, and we gain more every day! Many people will do searches on the internet for something and it will bring up Hunting.net and they end up finding their way here by "accident". How about welcome the kid to the forum and answer his question without the smartalec remarks.... we are all here for help, advice, comradary, etc... this site wouldn't be the same without the questions, now would it? As for the deer coming back, it's hard telling what really spooked him, it may not have even been you, no one has any way to prove it. At this time of the year, the bucks travel within a multi-mile radius searching for does, he may have just been passing through, and he may not come back. It may not even have anything to do with you being there, it may just be that he saw a woods with cover to walk through on his journey. If you don't see him again, don't sweat it, where there is one deer, there are many, and if you think he's the biggest buck in the woods you are probably mistaken. Just get out there every opportunity you have, learn the patterns of the deer you do see and learn what works and what doesn't on the land you hunt, that's the best approach. Hunting is about research and patience... both will bring with them some great rewards, you just have to be willing to invest time in both of them. Hang in there, your investments will pay you back greatly in the longrun. |
