I just wanted to post a little reminder to those who are getting over anxious because they haven't put their tag on a buck yet. It is only October 23. The rut hasn't even begun yet. This time of year, you have got to be very lucky to get a mature buck. If you are only seeing does, relax. Soon those does will be leading bucks around. So, this time of year just be sure not to spook your "money makers". In a couple of weeks one of those babes will be heeled by a nice buck, and if you are hunting in her comfort zone, then you will be in great shape. Don't feel like you should have a buck down already just because other people have. The season is just about to get going, so enjoy it.

I keep telling myself that. The season is young. I am starting to see more movement in the morning now and some more scrapes and rubs. Business is about to pick up!!!!!
