Antlered Doe?

Had a doe come in Saturday. I put the glasses on her and saw 8 - 10" spikes. I thought it was a small buck but everything about her said "doe", would have dressed maybe 115 lbs., narrow, delicate neck, narrow shoulders, not at all "blocky". Then, at about 18 yards, she lifted her tail, squatted, and peed. That pretty well settled it for me. She circled to about 12 yards (I was on the ground and had the wind) and I got a good look at the spikes - a little gnarly and had some mass. A quick google revealed a wide range of estimates from the biologists but 1 in about 2700 seems a reasonable concensus. Anybody else see or shoot one? Some interesting pics on the web, including a 13-pointer.

A friend of mine was telling me he has an antlered doe, she's a 4 point and has button fawns. Thing is, she's illegal to shoot for an adult, antlered deer have to have 3 points to a side and she legally can't be shot as a doe, in PA it's antlered or antlerless...interesting.

Yep just a freak of nature for sure. You said it squatted to pea so you determined it was a doe. I have never seen a buck hike its leg if thats your argument.

Now I don't think BarofSoap shot that, it's from North American Whitetail, wierd whitetails not that you were implying that, right?

Bar, thanks for bringing that pic to us.

That would be shock to shoot an antlered animal like that and rolling it over to field dress it and find it's missing "equipment". ;)
