I shoot an UltraTec and LOVE it!! I've shot a Mathews, pretty good, but IMHO not as good as the hype. But they are good, no question. Never shot a Martin. Have shot a PSE Mach X and couldn't stand it. Lots and lots of vibration. Shot a Browning.....oh....can't remember...didn't like it either. Vibration again. Head to the shop and shoot as many as you can.

I have been shooting Mathews for the last 5 or so years.
I would also look at Ross Bows

huntinboy, all you're going to get by asking that question on a public forum is individual persons' favorite brand of bow.

What are you looking for in a hunting bow? I would think fairly forgiving (7 - 7 1/2" brace height), possibly a short axle-to-axle length (for maneuverability in a treestand, i.e., 32" or thereabouts) as much speed as the bow could generate quietly (315-320 fps or so) and almost vibration-free (parallel limb technology)...

Wait... I thinkI just described a BowTech Tribute to you! [8D]

Interesting enough I was recently at the new cabelas store in Rogers, Minnesota. The "expert at the archery counter was talking to a customer about bows. I overheard him stating "Well Mathews your really only paying for the name." I just chuckled to myself in dis belief he would say something like that. Probably because Cabelas can't carry them. I don'town aMathews, I own a Bowtechbut I have shot a Mathews and I do believe you are getting more than justthe "name". I am so glad I don't have to rely on the info given to me by some stiff behind a cabelas counter. lol

True enough, tribal... What's the qualifications to be an "expert" at a Cabela's? That you fog up a mirror if they hold it under your nose? [8D]
