Hey snake, I think there is a bit of pre rut going on now, but another two weeks and things should be really happening! Just my 2cents.

I'm just asking because usually this time of year, I have at least found a few scrapes. This year, no scrapes and maybe 2 or 3 very small rubs. Nothing thats really showing any buck activity. I did see a small scrub buck hunting one night, but surely he isn't the only one in the area

you might find some young bucks right now trying to chase, but you've got a week or so until things start to heat up. Its still a great time to be on stand

I've got scrapes too. Judging by the increased number of roadkills on my way to work every morning, I'd say that it's starting to heat up.

The young buck that I have raised is starting to get a pretty big neck on him. Not to mention every time I take feed down to him he starts ramming his head into the fence trying to get a piece of me.
