If you are using a compound bow let off is when you have almost reached your full draw length and all of a sudden the weight that you have been pulling has been reduced. Let off can be anywhere from 25 % to 75 % I think maybe even 85% not sure on that one though. So you really when you have your bow at full draw and your draw weight is set on 70 lbs. you arent holding 70lbs back you are only holding a percentage of that weight. See?
