Default Ouch.

So I had just got home from work at about 1pm and I was pretty pumped to go out hunting, and the reason I was so pumped was because we had just got our first real cold snap that morning with a little snow, so I knew that the deer would be cruisin around. Well anyways Im getting everything ready and all I had left to do was put together these new broadheads I had just bought (Muzzy 100gr. 3 blades) so i sit down and get them all together and am putting them on my arrows, well I get to the last arrow, and keep in mind that I am in a hurry, my broadhead wrench slips and I put the broadhead into my left thumb and middle finger deep so I look at it and I'm like crap. I call my girlfriend, she comes and picks me up takes me to express care and I have to get 9 stitches. The doctor said I just nicked my tendon in the thumb so I was lucky when it comes to that. Just thought I would share that little horror story.

SRBowman,

Sorry about that brother... That sucks. But hey, look on the bright side.. At least now you know for sure that Muzzy puts out some sharp blades, right out of the package. But I have shot them for a while, so next time feel free to ask me, and I will try to save you the testing of them and a Doctor bill.

Good hunting and God bless.

BE SAFE

Jeez, not another 'I wounded one' thread

I always have that thought about cutting myself when assembling broadheads. Hopefully it won't keep you out of the woods.

My husband did the same thing last year, except he wouldn't go to the doctor.... he superglued it.

I thought he was an idiot, but it healed up alright... he hates needles, and he hates stitches...

I won't even mess with them. I get queasy just thinking about slicing my finger on a knife or broadhead or any kind of razor.... [:'(]

Can you still shoot your bow? [8D]

Muzzy 4 blades. I call them "The cut me everytime I touch 'em broadhead." I nearly severed all the tendons on top of my hand because one of thos broadheads, I also sliced most of the meat on my thumb off. I know where you are coming from![&:]

Thanks guys, my hand hurts just from reading this. I've only got small cuts from my Muzzys. My neighbor hit my 3D target in the leg and the arrow was stuck. He pulled so hard that when it came out he shoved the nock end of the arrow into his leg all the way to the fletching. Yeah, that required some stitches.

Them little wrenches are worthless.....they usually slip especially when youre in a rush, please be carefull inserting and removeing broadheads from your arrows.
