RE: Ouch.
Yeah isn't it amazing that someone nicks their finger (an obvious vital organ ;)) with a slip of a broadhead and bleeds all over the house and we have guys that hit a deer "Perfect" and can't find a drop.
Something to ponder. |
RE: Ouch.
Bummer Dude !!! I never use those little wrenches. I always use 425 Channel locks to tighten the tip...

RE: Ouch.
ORIGINAL: Buck Huntin Girl My husband did the same thing last year, except he wouldn't go to the doctor.... he superglued it. I thought he was an idiot, but it healed up alright... he hates needles, and he hates stitches... I won't even mess with them. I get queasy just thinking about slicing my finger on a knife or broadhead or any kind of razor.... [:'(] Can you still shoot your bow? ;)[8D]:D My doctor was the one who suggested superglue. He said he could either charge me for the visit/stitches or I could just go home and superglue it. Its good having a family friend who is a doctor. The alcohol in the superglue works as an antiseptic. |
RE: Ouch.
Our season in DE opened Sept 1 and I literally the exact same thing! I was in a hurry because it was 1:30pm and blew my thumb wide open. After 35 minutes, it stopped bleeding enough to get it wrapped tight and then cinched down with duct tape. I passed on a three pointer junker and another spike that afternoon. When I got home, my wife wanted to check it - knew it was bad because there was blood ALL OVER the garage and mudroom (missed a couple clean up spots inside) and it began gushing immediately. I only took 5 stitches. I can relate bud... good luck this season and be safe!

RE: Ouch.
Man you guys have got to slow down a little bit. I know accidents happen, believe me I'm a fireman, but you're admitting you were in a hurry!! Please be careful...you cut a main artery or nice size vein and the end result could be a lot uglier.
Take care!! |
RE: Ouch.
Well I know not to be in a hurry now. I guess that It's one of those things where it's going to happen sooner or later. But the big plus is that I went out yesterday and seemed to do just fine so I guess I can't really complain. Thanks for all the replies.
