I posted about month ago about the buck i lost
last year in the rain.and found myself not hunting
in the rain anymore.

after reading about everyone else,on hunting in the rain.

yesterday was raining but there was no wind,so i called
off work sick,,,,he he.

any way at 8 oclock this nice 8 point came in 15 yards
away ,and I hit both lungs.it went 25 yards .

the deer was down,so i got down about 25 to 30
min latter and tracked it like I did not know it was down
and wow, not much to go on.but Iwas able to track it.
just it is harder.

one thing I have learned from last years nightmare
is im very picky on the shot now.
thats two shots and two deer this year.

Congrats on your deer. I too hunt in the rain, but am a lot more careful of the shots I take. It's just one of those things that go with bowhunting.

congrats! you are right,shot placement is critical,especially so in the rain.
