I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 2 months ago. The numbness in my leg kept me from walking too far so I figured my hunting days may be over. I'm proud to say I made it to my stand this a.m. about a 1/2 mile trek I fell a time or two, leg just don't want to lift over those logs. I had a friend tie a safety line with prussic knot so I could get in the stand without the worry of falling. I got in the stand attached my vest to the tree. I watched the woods wake up even shed a tear, I believe after two months of nasty steroids, MRI's spinal taps you nameit the countless medications. I suddenly felt whole again my leg didn't burn or feel as numb as it had I think this was the best medicine ever. No deer so what I finally got out of the depression, the feeling sorry for myself attitude and was again enjoying something I truly love to do. Good luck to all and enjoy every minute and remember how truly lucky we are to enjoy this way of life!!!

You can't keep a good man down!
I'm glad to here you made it out to your stand. There's nothing better than spending a few hours out in the woods on a Fall day.
I wish you lots of luck this hunting season.
Keep us posted on your outings. Its good to hear it from someone that appreciates being out there. I know myself that I have days I get frustrated about not seeing or getting a chance at a deer and then I hear from someone like you.
You really make a guy stop and think. The time we spend ourdors is special, even if we come home empty. It took your words to bring me back to that.
Good luck there, buddy! I'm rooting for you to get one!
