Default Sitting or Standing?

DO you shoot your bow sitting or standing from a treestand? I have been practicing standing and started wondering today if I should be practicing while seated. Obviously I'm new to bow hunting. I only have a few more days before bow season.

I always stand. I stand immediately upon seeing a deer, especially one I intend on tagging.

I have always stood while shooting. I think it is much easier. When you are sitting you are using your back muscles more, and i just find it more comfortable to stand. Plus with sitting you have to worry about your release hand hitting your treestand when drawing back. However, there is less movement while sitting and shooting. I think it is personal preference. Try practicing sitting before you go hunting if you choose to go that route.

Yeah like mobowhuntrsaid, practice it because you never know when that deer will just apper and you wont have time to stand up.

But normally as soon as i see a deer even if im not gonna shoot it i will stand up, you never no whats gonna come out next.

sit and you will lose deer, to move the bow if he takes a sudden move requires a large move on your part, iknow happened the other day on me with a buck. stand as soon as you see the deer

When i shoot i sit down. Less movement and then i can have a rest... I rest the elbow i am holding the bow with on my knee that way its just like a gun rest.

I try to stand every time it comes to shot, but I have had to shoot sitting once where I didn't have time. It isn't hard, just not as easy as standing. But practice b/c you don't know if you will always be able to stand up for your shot.

I agree with Rob. I always stand as soon as I see the deer. Plus it gives me a chance to grab my bow off the hanger.
