What do you think is wrong with this buck?
 

I've gotten dozens of pics of this buck all summer and one day he showed up in my food plot with this big swelling on his shoulders, it almost looks like a blow dart sticking out of it. He also has 3 big black spots on him, none of which was there a week ago. Any ideas

Poor little guy.

Man it's hard to say, hit by car, crossbow bolt, arrow, ??? Hope he survives or get's tagged.

That shows up on deer occasionally....I can't remember the scientific name for it.....It's like a giant cist....only that's not what it is....He actually should show no ill effects from it, and if the hunter that bags him cuts it off, he's safe to eat...

Yeah, my guess is tumors or some sort of growths. May or may not be harmful to him. Can't say by just looking.

We should ask TDWW; he probably would say that it is warty tumorous growth from an inferior northern deer. Mobo, you can eat it but I sure as a hell wouldn't; not that hungry. HCH
