Default Michigan Doe - First Doe w/ a Bow!

I got home from work at 2 am Friday night so I said screw sleep. I showered up, got scentfree and hit my treestand at 4 am - 3 hours before the sun came up. I have a good morning spot about 40 yards away from a bedding area at the intersection of 3 major runways. I heard deer around me all morning before the sun came up. At about 7:45 I had a doe in bow range but she busted me trying to draw. She split. At 8:25 I spotted a deer walking about 50 yards to my right. I hit my bleat can two times and within 2 minutes she appeared broadside at 7 yards! I didn't have time to think. I just drew (undetected this time) and put the pin behind her shoulder. Perfect shot. I blew up the heart and one lung.

The slick tricks left an amazing bloodtrail. I can now attest to the fact that the 2006 Slick Trick blades are VERY Sharp! What a morning!!!!! This is my 3rd deer with a bow in three years of bowhunting. It's also my first doe with a bow. I'm all tuned up for Illinois now in 3 weeks.....
