I am going out tomorrow, hunting a neew stand, hopefully things will pick up!

I have seen some nice bucks already. 3 on the opening afternoon, a Y buck (no brow tines) a big 6, and a very nice 8 that would have been my biggest buck ever, had he presented an acceptable shot. Friday afternoon, nothing. Yesterday, one nice 8 (different property) snuck in before I could get the bow into position. He actually smelled where I had walked in, and was instantly on alert. This despite all rubber boots. I have not actually seen a doe while hunting. I had two blow at me, but they were seen by the two landowners, and not by me. I'm not complaining, but it seems strange that every deer I've seen while hunting this year has been a buck. I wish I could get out with the frequency some of you talk about, but with my family, it ain't gonna happen.

Brirute2, it is unmanaged private land that gets quite a bit of hunting pressure along with all of the surrounding property's
