First night hunting with my wife
My wife went hunting for the first time last night. About an hour before dark she asked if I usually saw deer by now. No more than 5 minutes later a Big 10 walked out not 20 yards from our blind (Shes scared of heights).
The buck walked right where I thought he would but she not being experienced would not take a quartering away shot. I need some ideas on how to teach her how to make those shots and when to make them.

Get a 3d deer target and set it up at different angles so she can get a mental picture of where to make the arrow enter to strike the vitals.
The old "aim for the exit hole", theory.

I agree, get a 3D. Best training tool. Delta makes a good cheap one for around 60 bucks. Its the river bottom. Its not full size, but for the price it can not be beat. It also has replaceable vitals.
