Default Can Whitetail deer get lyme's disease from ticks?

I had someone who does not eat venision ask me a question. And After thinking I wasn't sure how to answer it. They asked, " Do whitetail deer get infected if they have beenhost to a infected deer tick? And if so, can we get sick from eating it? " Well I don't think we can get sick cause many of us would be already, but what is the fact about this anyone know?

I don't know anything about it really, but I don't think that we can. For how many ticks deer have, one of them is bound to be infected. If we were to get sick from it we would hear more cases of it happening, I would think.
