Yea hunting is supposed to be fun. When you aren't having fun, its best to do other stuff. I hate hunting in the heat, I missed a couple days that were just in the 70's I can't imagine 90's. Hope it cools for ya.

i was shivering because i was so cold on stand today..:D

i definently wouldnt be hunting in 90degrees. heck i hate 60+!! just too warm when you got long sleves on and carrying a 20lb stand,15lb pack walking half a mile..climbing a tree etc. by the time you get settled in your sweating and stinking to the sky..not my style. itll be cold enough for the season here REAL soon..i actually doubt we see anymore days over 70.

Went out for the first time(ever) opening weekend, October 1st here in KS. Sweated really bad getting to blind. Luckily the wind picked up and cooled me off while sitting. Bad thing was that the winds then picked up with gusts up to 34mph. We gave up about noon because of the wind and it was 94 degrees. Buddy said the deer would not be moving since it was sooooo windy.

We had to postponethisweekend since it was 85 degrees today. It is suppose to have a high of70 degrees next Saturday. We will be going out then. Hopefully with the cooler weather and maybe harvest, the deer will be more active.

Its even been warm up here. I hear ya about all the sweating. I usually walk in without a hat on, helps to get rid of some of the heat. Anywho, Im really looking forward to next week. Im off for a week to start and then the weather man just mentioned the "S" word..:DHighs around fifty with lows in the twentys.. Cant wait. I'll try to blow some of it down your way..;)
