SCARED OF SILENCE...
Does it not seem that in todays busy world that people seem to be scared of silence? Everywhere you go...out to eat, coffee, gas stations, stores, and even your workplaces...all have music playing. Constant noise. Why is it that in today's world, we cannot have silence? This is one of the main reasons I enjoy hunting...to get away from all of the hustle and bustle, to just sit in the timber and listen to nature, and to leave all of your worries and problems at home. What makes you guys enjoy hunting so much?

RE: SCARED OF SILENCE...
its NEVER quiet in the outdoors. thats what i love about it. the rustle of fall leaves blowing on the ground. leaves blowing in the wind waiting for the right gust to blow them down. the sounds of squirrels and chipmunks playing and chasing eachother around. fall turkeys talk their heads off. the sound of the spring woods waking up right before the sun rise. all things i live for. if it was silent out there i dont think id like it as much. but i do understand you probably didnt mean it like that...the woods are quiet in a diffrent type of way which i think you meant. no mp3 player...no radio. no conversations about pointless subjects etc...the biggest commotion in the woods is when a buck chases a doe around.....

Usually it's dead quiet when you get up in your stand and your sitting there in the dark...lol....like something is already up in the tree with you...right above you waiting to jump down on top of you.
