my uncle shot a doe with grey hair and no teeth the other day, so i was just wondering, whats the max age of most deer if they dont get shot or killed?

I have raised a lot of deer in captivity ,10 is a very old deer in a pen or in the wild.

I have a friend that has shot a doe that was 9 years old....that is pretty old for them. The DNR said she was still breeding!?

I read once that Whitetails have a life expectancy of 13 years. but most don't live past 7 in the wild.

Depends on how close they get to me when its season and I have a tag in my pocket.In my area not many deer many it past 4 or 5.

im not sure but i heard does live longer than bucks.

Death from age at about 10-11 yrs. I have heard of deer living longer, but not many. In the wild most won't make it that long. Mostly due to the fact that they are slower and predators will get them, and they are more prone to injury from fighting and other things.

They live as long as I allow them to.

so if 1 doe lives for 9 years, she has about 15+ babies?
