RE: Bowtech isn't working out for me...now what?
Don't over look the original switchback when you go shopping.
Between the Xt & trykon I would have to go with the XT, although the Trykon XL would also be worth considering. BTW, those aren't the only 3 bow manufactureres out there. Surely some other brand would make you happy as well? Fred bear? Elite? Ross? Darton? Good luck with shopping. It is kind of sad that we have to bite the bullet with a bow purchase before we know how well it will tune to our liking. |

You need to make your own decision on what bow felt/feels good in your hands after shooting it. I wouldnt ask, or let anyone sway your decision because in the long run you will be living with your decision. There arent really any horrible bows out there in the mainstream market that I know of with 3 or 4 companies seeming to be the top dogs in the market. Go back and shoot some more then make a decision, again.

if your draw is over 28", go w/ the longer bow - the trykon xl.

Mathews or Hoyt, they're both good bows.

This is what you pay pro shop prices for, SERVICE !! If you purchased the bow new
1. Take it to the dealer explain the situation, make sure everything is mounted properly and tight. make sure the cams are matched. 2. Have him adjust and shoot the bow to show you it is capable of excellent accuracy. 3. If not make him repair it. 4. If its not the bow and ends up being very poor form, a new bow is not the answer unless it is a more forgiving setup. This would exclude the two bows mentioned. There is no reason you should have to purchase a new bow after already purchasing one of the finest bows made. Ater you get it squared away it wont take long to build confidence. |

Also, you know Hoyt,Botech, and I think Mathews also make different lines of Bows that have to be good although they might not be the newest technology or they might be, I dont follow the Matthews line much but Hoyt still offered the VTech in 06 Botech has the allegience, you might be suited to one of these line more than you are the Trykon/Tribute/SwitchBack. Just a thought,I am in no means trying to be a know it all just trying to help you troubleshoot.
good luck!!! squirreldog |
