early season rubs

Default early season rubs

i saw very fresh!! rubs about a week ago from the corn into a creek bottom. the corn is now cut, ive got a stand about 20 yds from it was hanging it anyway

think this will be productive or was he bored

He was bored I bet, they usually aren't territorial yet. It does mean he was there though........find where he beds.........you know where he eats now. Then just connect the two points keeping wind, cover, and path of least resistance in mind and you might get lucky.

Allseason, I saw a very fresh rub a week ago as well. I believe they can serve a two fold purpose. One to help in the removel of the velvet and also to mark thier turf.

ill see what that stand produces we had it in the same tree last season but didnt hunt it much, my guess is hes in the creek bottom with some hunnys
