spin testing arrows

i need a way to check if there is any wobble with my broadheads, but i don't have a spin tester. any other way to do it fairly accurate? what exactly am i looking for? is it the insert that will make it wobble or the B.H.? thanks for the help.

Any way you can get the arrows spinning you should be able to check for wobble. The spin testers are great because they leave the arrow stationary.

Yes, it is usually the insert that is misaligned however double check broadheads for bends as well. (if used).

Hold your hand out palm side up and spin the arrow and broadhead on theend of your middle finger. You can really tell if there is any wobble at all.
good luck

I stand them on the point and spin 'em. If they wobble, you'll see it.

If you're at all handy at woodworking, just make a double V block and set the V's about the same distance apart as a typical spinner. Just rotate the arrow in the V's and watch the point the same way you would in a spinner. I've done it that way for years and it works fine.

Just take a shoe or cardboard box and cut a V in it. Spin the arrow and watch the tip of the broad head.
